Our lovely Star was retired May, 2008 to Midland, TX to reside and be much fussed-over and loved by Louise Crawford. We will miss her every single day. She has no doggy competition at the Crawford residence and will be #1 there for the rest of her life:) Thank you, Louise and also Kay Foster, for giving Star such an outstanding retirement home.

Star had two litters for us; she is now spayed. Her pups can be found doing SAR, agility, training in obedience and stock, campaigning in conformation as applicable, and/or just being someone's best buddy. Star steals everyone's heart. We have had a ton of offers to buy Star from those who visit the ranch. She's staying here with us:) She can be seen in Steve's lap evenings watching TV, or doing high-fives with Shelby, throwing a toy in my lap to play retrieve, or begging for a treat from anyone with any food. She plays with all our dogs and is a middle-of-the-pack dog insofar as dominance. She can be seen clearing our brick garden wall like a gizzelle - she's agile, fast, and quick. You smile and she smiles back. She loves to cuddle up at night and sleep on someone's bed. She will steal a chocolate chip cookie cooling on the counter in a NY minute so we have to be careful in that regard:) She makes enough noise for 10 dogs when Steve comes home. She must announce him, greet him, and get a pat on the head before she'll be quiet. She loves her human family and wiggle more parts than any dog we have in her greetings:) Plans are for Star to compete in Rally, pick up her obedience titles, and possibly in 2007 get her open cattle or sheep title. She's a bit too exhuberent in ducks yet to trial.
BREEDING FEEDBACK: Star produced one pup with a brain tumor by Segal; that pup, Whitney, was put down. No biopsy or necropsy was performed by the owners.
Star is in our Practical Obedience Manual and Video. She's a super living-assistance therapy dog prospect. You'll see her at the top of the page holding a telephone. There is nothing Star won't retrieve, pick up or carry if asked:)
